TP: Journalists find the why and how of a news story.
*Students worked on their investigative journalism story. Students will also present these as a news broadcast on Friday and Monday.
Homework:
Moby Max (3 @ 70% or higher)
Be ready to share your investigative journalism piece on Friday.

World History:
LT: Explain the feudal system in the Middle Ages.
*We spent some time looking at current events at the beginning of the hour.
*We talked about the feudal system during the Middle Ages.

Journalism:
LT: Write an article for the school paper.
*Students revised their scenario news stories.
*Students worked on their school paper articles.
Homework:
We will print the final scenario articles tomorrow, so make sure changes are made by then.
School paper rough drafts (1200 characters with spaces) are due on Tuesday, along with 4 pictures (NOT from the computer).

*Students filled in an outline sheet for a writing assignment about the role money and/or religion played in the Muslim empire.

*Students brainstormed school paper topics as a class.
*Students picked their school paper topic.

*Students explored current world events.
*We talked about the caliphs following Muhammad and the split between the Sunnis and Shiites.

LT: Review basic news story components.
*Students watched an interview about interviews with Katie Couric.
*Students created review posters to cover important news story elements.

Test on Thursday over news stories, interviews, and legal and ethical considerations when writing a news story.
